'On the Beach' to hit screen at Spanish Love & Hope fest

Iranian short film 'On the Beach' has made way into the competition section of the 2022 Love & Hope International Film Festival (L'HIFF) in Spain.

Written and directed by Abolhassan Keyvan, 'On the Beach' is filmed in Iran’s Kish Island.

The short flick depicts the story of a young man whose fiancé has migrated abroad. The man is waiting for her on the beach for days. His brother visits him every day, brings him food and water, and sometimes blames him for this situation.

'On the Beach' recently won the Best Short Fiction Award at the 20th International Multicultural Film Festival in the United States.

The Love & Hope International Film Festival - Barcelona (L'HIFF) is a platform for both emerging and established filmmakers, from all over the world to take part in film experience.

The festival also offers masterclasses, workshops, guest speaker talks, film premieres, financing advisers, Q&A sessions, film screenings and network with like-minded creators.

The Spanish film festival is scheduled to take place on September 6-10, 2022 in Barcelona.
